About Me

I'm a fun and outgoing individual who lives life to the fullest and enjoys making the most of every moment. I have a strong interest in Arts and exploring various creative concepts. I love great food, wine, travelling and meeting new people. I travelled from one end of the world to another to settle down, create new friendships and I was lucky enough to meet a love of my life that I decided to spend the rest of my life with.

I have a small business called Ah-Tissue here in Brisbane, Australia, which was established in 2010 by myself, a mum of one who has been born into a very creative family. Her father is a retired Art Lecturer and my mother is a retired music teacher. From a young age I have been doing everything and anything creative. My work experience consists of being an Event Co-ordinator, Screen Printer, Wedding Florist, and Assistant Photographer, just to name a few!

I believe there is a reason for everything and all my experiences led me to Ah-Tissue. I decided to start my venture due to being a “stay at home” mum, needing to bring in a second income for our family. I realised there was a market here in Australia for this old tissue paper craft technique to make fun pom pom decorations. My creative mind has enabled me to come up with so many different ideas for new products using additional techniques.

As I am a creative soul I am always wanting to stimulate my creative side, so I feel this is the main reason why things have now lead me to creating this blog.

“Get your D.I.Y on!!” has been born as a creative outlet for me , and it is a place where I can share what I have learnt over the years and what I am yet to learn myself.

This is a creative space where I can share D.I.Y projects in all areas on a budget, arts & craft, recycled, easy recipes and much more.
